Babysitting Loyalty Card Examples
There are so many different combinations to choose from with this babysitting loyalty card tool. Below are some examples of what can be done to give you some ideas and inspiration.
How to Use Your Loyalty Cards
Whether you’re a babysitter, nanny, au pair, mother’s helper, or some other kind of childcare worker, loyalty cards are an essential part of your marketing strategy.
How loyalty cards work
Every time you complete a job for a client, stamp the next box. Once they get to the 6th box, they can redeem one hour of free babysitting on their next job. This encourages your clients to keep asking you back for more jobs, and to avoid using other sitters.
There are several other ways your loyalty cards can help you.
-
Hand them out to potential clients
Carry a bunch of spare loyalty cards in your wallet just in case you meet someone who may be interested in your services.
Hand them out to anyone who may be interested. Give people a few extras if they know other families that have kids too.
-
Letterbox drops
Walk around your local neighborhood and place a loyalty card in the letterbox of families who have kids. This is an excellent way to find more work.
If you do this, be sure to include your Kidsit profile link so they can check out all your details before they contact you.
-
Calling cards
After you complete a babysitting job with a new family, leave a loyalty card behind with the first box already stamped to encourage repeat jobs. Use a magnet to stick it on the fridge!
-
For leaving notes
Leave the back of your loyalty card blank and always carry a pen so you can write short notes. This can be very useful in all kinds of situations.
To stamp or not to stamp?
There are actually a few options to consider.
-
Use mini-stamps or stamp pens
This is the traditional way to mark each step in a loyalty card. See these cool stamp pens on Amazon.
-
Use a hole punch
This is another popular option. See these heart and star hole punches on Amazon.
-
Sign your initials with a pen
This is cheapest, and probably the easiest option for marking your loyalty cards. You should already be bringing a pen on babysitting jobs, so if you sign with a pen, you won't need to bring anything extra.
Include Your Babysitting Rate On Your Business Cards
If your hourly rate is stated on your loyalty card then parents know exactly how much to expect to pay.
Average Babysitting Rate Per Hour By Country
| Country | 1 Kid | 2 Kids | 3+ Kids |
|---|---|---|---|
| United States | $16.91 | $18.60 | $20.29 |
| Canada | $18.24 | $20.06 | $21.89 |
| United Kingdom | £11.40 | £12.54 | £13.68 |
| Australia | $26.51 | $29.16 | $31.81 |
| New Zealand | $22.78 | $25.06 | $27.34 |

Babysitting rates vary by region so search for your exact location to get a more precise average pay.
The more your loyalty cards can get out there, the more chances families will contact you.

Home Printing Tips
You can print your loyalty cards on any home printer but here are a few tips for achieving the best results:
- Print on card stock or thicker paper to make your cards feel more professional.
- Use a color printer if you have one, but your cards will work great on a black and white printer too.
- Set your printer to print at 100% zoom so your cards come out at the correct size.
- Use a guillotine to cut out your cards with beautiful straight edges. Here’s a cheap guillotine on Amazon that does a brilliant job.
Safety Tips
Always keep your safety in mind when promoting your babysitting services. Here are some essential tips:
- Don’t include your full name on your loyalty cards. It's just not necessary.
- Never put your address on your loyalty cards. Your exact location should be kept private until you know your clients better.
- Don't do letterbox drops on your own. Take a friend with you so you're not walking around the streets by yourself.
- Never give a loyalty card to anyone with who you don't feel comfortable. It's always best to be more cautious than too open and trusting.
