Hey there!! 👋🏻 My names Sami, im 26 and recently moved here from Alaska to be closer to family. I’ve been looking after kids for 10+ years and it’s truly become a passion. Kids bring so much wonder and excitement to my life, I’m currently working on being a teacher in the VB district!
I’m a mother to a beautiful 7yo, you bet we find every excuse in the book to get outside! Whether it’s an art project, kicking a soccer ball, playing in the rain, or blowing bubbles-we’re outside and off electronics. I love to disconnect with iPads/tv and connect back to nature. Or helping them find a hobby/passion! I do photography and all types of art on the side (sketching, painting, pottery) so I’m sure we’ll always have something to do or create.
I’m all for “brain food” activities! Games, hobbies, activities that keep the body moving and the mind thinking! Back home I hiked every day I could, I loved exploring outside and the wonders that came with it. If I was scheduled to watch one of my kiddos on a weekend, we would go for a hike and take painting supplies along with our lunch.
I always hope kids remember me as the fun babysitter and/or nanny, I genuinely want to make that impression because of the people that were there for me as a kid. It makes a difference and they deserve those memories! If you need a sitter please don’t hesitate to reach out, they will always be safe and well looked after in my care. I look forward to chatting more if you’re interested. 😊
I can travel to neighboring suburbs/towns of Virginia Beach for work.

When I was 15yo I moved in with a lovely family for 2 years as a nanny to 4 amazing kiddos under age 7. Beforehand I was working at my Christian schools before/aftercare program, who helped me connect with the family I nannied for!
While I was a live-in nanny, I nannied for a military family (newborn & 5yo) mornings and some overnights. Both families kids attended the same school, so some days I would have all 6 kiddos! I prepared meals, did light housework including laundry/dishes, and of course cleaning up after the kids. I took them to appointments, to/from school, and also vacationed with the family.
I took about 2 years off due to having my own child, who’s now 7. I’ve since then worked at my mother’s preschool, and have babysit/nannied for hundreds of kiddos-ranging from newborn to 12.
I'm looking for Casual/temporary, Part-time, Full-time employment.
I can travel within Virginia Beach for work.
