Hello!
My name is Alamea, but many call me Mea. I am Tongan - born here in Auckland but was raised it Tonga for the first 9 years. I am friendly, caring, empathetic, hardworking and patient!
I am a Year 12 student at St. Cuthberts College.
I love cooking, baking and to watercolour. In addition, I like to walk, gym, I watch a lot of true crime, history shows or episodes and TED talks in my free time.
I am the oldest of 3. I have a 6 year old sister, and a 5 year old brother. In my family, my parents have always emphasised presence because of the age gap between my siblings and I, so I do spend a lot of time with them. Making school lunches and breakfast, picking them up for school when I can, shopping days, lunch dates and park dates are regular things we do together so I am open to activities such as taking you kid(s) to the park. I love to cook and bake and I cook regularly during the week for all different meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and have done service at Everybody Eats. Onehunga where I cooked and plated food mostly, therefore I am very comfortable with any cooking.
I am just finishing the first year of the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, which requires a lot of studying, therefore I have naturally learnt to like studying. I have tutored at my school which I really enjoyed, therefore I am capable of any school assistance or homework for your child(ren).
Due to school, I have learnt and is still learning to time manage and organise and its importance. Having little siblings means I do tidy a lot after them, but also help them with first steps of tidying after themselves. I am also weary of my parents, and all the work on their shoulders, so I help my keeping the house tidy, bathrooms, kitchen and living spaces which means I can most definitely help with any housekeeping required!
I have experience with allergies. My sister has a food allergy which I am aware of to help her. I am open to any child.
Having little siblings, as well as engaging with care for Year 0 students at my school and tutoring, I really like caring for children and it’s something I feel very comfortable with. I love to help kids and I enjoy doing a variety of activities with them.
