Hi there!
My name is Ellen Oskoian, and I’m 42 years young. I’ve been working with children since I was just 10 years old; I started as a helper in church nurseries and grew into roles as a daycare assistant, babysitter, nanny, homeschool teacher, and piano instructor. For the past 17 years, I’ve taught piano lessons and worked with kids of all ages, including those with special needs.
Music and creativity are a huge part of my life! I love to sing, write, and do fun art projects with kids—something I especially enjoyed while teaching at Homeschool Connections. I’m friendly, personable, respectful, and timely. Most of all, I truly enjoy spending time with children (and animals too!).
Oh, and by the way—I’m still a huge kid at heart! I absolutely love My Little Pony, Rainbow Brite, and Care Bears, and I bring that same playful, colorful spirit into the time I spend with kids.
Right now, I’m looking for a steady babysitting position or consistent weekend work, ideally around 20 hours per week. I currently work a few small jobs, but I miss that joyful one-on-one time with kids.

I have over thirty years of babysitting experience, but I’m still young at 42. I’ve also spent more than sixteen years teaching children through my piano studio, Colored Keys Piano Lessons. I’ve worked with kids of all ages and learning levels, creating a fun, encouraging environment that builds confidence and creativity. In addition to teaching music and art classes for homeschool programs and community centers, I’ve spent over ten years involved in children’s ministry and worship leading at church, where I helped plan lessons, lead songs, and guide children in group activities. These experiences have given me strong classroom management skills and a calm, patient approach that helps children feel comfortable and inspired. I’ve also worked with children who have ADHD and other behavioral challenges, using structure, creativity, and positive reinforcement to keep them engaged. I’m reliable, safety-minded, and communicate well with both kids and parents, and I genuinely love helping each child grow and discover their strengths.
