👋🏽 Hello everyone! My name is Amanee I am currently an upcoming high school senior (17) with six years of caregiving experience. A huge part of my life has been spent caring for my beloved younger sister, who was born with cerebral palsy. This experience has been incredibly foundational for me. It has taught me patience, adaptability, and a deep sense of responsibility from an early age. I love creating fun, engaging experiences for children and naturally gravitate toward hands-on, creative activities. Whether we’re painting, drawing, making friendship bracelets, creating DIY crafts, or enjoying sticker art, I love helping children express themselves while having fun. I also enjoy spending time outdoors whenever possible. I believe children learn best when they’re actively engaged, so I focus on creating meaningful experiences rather than relying on endless screen time. I can help with:

Whether it’s transitioning from playtime to dinner, supervising bath time, or reading bedtime stories, I strive to keep evenings calm, consistent, and stress-free. I always follow each family’s routines, household expectations, and bedtime schedule so children feel comfortable, secure, and ready for a restful night.
Outside of childcare, I enjoy reading, painting, photography, creative writing, language learning, swimming, and spending time outdoors with my family and friends. These interests often inspire many of the creative activities I enjoy sharing with children. I also love taking advantage of everything our local community has to offer. With parental permission, I enjoy planning fun outings to neighborhood parks, local libraries, and other nearby green spaces. Whether we’re reading stories at the library, exploring a playground, or enjoying a nature walk, I believe these experiences help children stay active, curious, and connected to the world around them.
Over the past school year, I completed college-level Psychology and Sociology courses provided at my high school through Hudson Valley Community College. These classes strengthened my understanding of child development from infancy through adolescence and have given me valuable insight into how children learn, grow, and communicate. During my freshman year, I briefly attended Nurses Middle College Charter High School (Capital region) before it closed. There, I learned foundational patient care skills and important safety practices that continue to benefit me as a caregiver.
