I bring over a decade of hands-on experience in both childcare and animal care, with a strong foundation in community service and leadership.
Animal Welfare & Training: I served as an adoptions counselor and manager with local shelters including the Arizona Humane Society and the Arizona Animal Welfare League. In 2013, I founded AZK9, a nonprofit dedicated to helping pet owners keep their animals during times of crisis. I’ve also personally cared for countless animals over the years—raising my own three dogs, and fostering dogs, puppies, and kittens.
Childcare Experience: As a mom of two children (ages 7 and 3), I understand the patience, creativity, and responsibility it takes to nurture kids of all ages. My formal childcare background began in college at DePaul University in Chicago, where I worked with preschool-aged children through a work-study AmeriCorps program.
Community Roots: I am a fourth-generation native of Phoenix, deeply connected to this community, and passionate about supporting families and their pets.
Together, this blend of professional training, nonprofit leadership, and personal caregiving makes me well-prepared to provide safe, reliable, and compassionate care for both children and animals.
