Emma Smith, RN: Registered Emergency Nurse

Emma is a Registered Emergency Nurse from Melbourne, Australia who has over 12 years personal experience working night shifts. She became a Registered Nurse in 2010 and obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing in 2013.

Emma believes all shift workers deserve to be happy and healthy despite an irregular schedule.

Her inspiration comes from working within the hospital setting as Assistant Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) and Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE), and from years of experience with home care, agency nursing, medical clinics, and aged care facilities.

Emma and her husband, Daniel are the Founders of The Other Shift, a website dedicated to helping shift workers like herself to find a healthy balance between work and life.

While enjoying days off, Emma and Daniel have a passion for exploring new foods and cultures and absorbing the atmosphere of Australian Rules Football at the MCG.
