I’m a responsible, hardworking single mom who loves children. I've studied Early Childhood Education and received specialized training to work with children with disabilities through Hope Children in Jamaica. I also worked as a student nurse at St. Joseph Nursing Home in Kingston, where I gained valuable caregiving experience.
In addition, I have six years of professional experience as a Security Officer at the Canadian Embassy in Jamaica, where I developed strong skills in safety and crisis management. Since moving to the U.S., I’ve been working to establish myself and am currently pursuing CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) training. I’m seeking babysitting work to support myself during this transition.
Most recently, I completed the Community Café Fellowship at Havenly, a nonprofit in New Haven led by and for refugee and immigrant women. As part of the fellowship, I taught English and basic literacy to English Language Learners and completed three months of job training in a commercial kitchen, earning my ServSafe Certificate. I bring care, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility to everything I do—and would love the opportunity to support your family.
