I have a diverse professional childcare background that includes extensive coaching, mentoring and teaching experience in addition to nannying. I have held both live-in and live-out full-time, long term nanny positions, and provide parents in the metro Atlanta area with date night childcare as well as part time and full time care. I am an experienced children's swim coach, Montessori-certified preschool teacher, and ballet teacher. I specialize in toddler/preschool/kindergarten age and have previously taught in Montessori and French immersion preschools, and have taught English as a second language and creative movement to early elementary age school children.
I have also worked as a youth crisis counselor and residential treatment center counselor, and have mentored at-risk and underprivileged youth and teens. I am a professional academic tutor as well, specializing in the language arts, geography, French, and history. I tutor all ages and ability levels including gifted and talented students and those with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
I have been in the performing arts as a pre-professional ballet dancer since I was very young and have been teaching ballet for over 5 years. I have taught pre-ballet, creative movement, beginning and intermediate level ballet to girls ages 3-10 at the Atlanta Ballet Center for Dance education as well as privately.
For nannying and babysitting, I am comfortable and experienced caring for infants from age 7 months up to toddlers and early elementary age. I am experienced caring for up to 3 children at one time. I have a very warm, caring, down to earth personality and am very nurturing, attentive, energetic, creative, kind-hearted, trustworthy, reliable, and patient. I have excellent communication skills and have several childcare certifications including:

My hourly rate for 1 child is $23-24/hr and for 2 children it would be $25-26/hr. I am also experienced with helping maintain nap routine and feeding routine for infants, and assisting parents with preschool preparatory work for their toddlers. Parents that I've previously worked with love that I have significant teaching and Montessori experience as well as an extensive background in the creative arts (dance, acting, musical theatre, and creative writing.) I am very passionate about childcare and helping families with their children's overall development.
I provide parents with date night and weekend care as well as part-time weekday childcare, and would be open to a full-time, long-term position for the right family. I primarily work with children and families in the Druid Hills/Emory University/Virginia Highlands/Midtown/downtown areas of Atlanta. I am available both weekdays and weekends for childcare and tutoring.
