I am a recent graduate of Tulane University with a B.A. in Communications and Digital Media Practices. As part of my service-learning coursework, I spent four months working with Anna’s Place, an after-school youth program in New Orleans. There, I served as a homework tutor and mentor for children aged 5–12, assisting in various enrichment classes, including the student NASA program, choir, and art. This work was done in conjunction with my course Education in a Diverse Society, an introductory class for those pursuing PK–12 teacher certification or studying within the Teaching, where I learned foundational teaching principles and practices.
In addition to this experience, I have taught dance to children aged 3–12 for three years and have been involved with Kids Yoga throughout my life, assisting and co-teaching yoga classes alongside my mother. I have also babysat for many family members!
