I am an 18-year-old high school graduate with hands-on experience caring for children ages 4–9. My experience includes supervising play, helping with homework, following bedtime routines, assisting with meal prep, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
I have completed a high school Food and Nutrition course, where I learned basic cooking skills, food handling, and kitchen safety. I am comfortable preparing simple meals and snacks. I also have WHMIS training.
I also have experience working with children with special needs through volunteering in special education classrooms during grades 6–8. My responsibilities included assisting with activities such as games, reading, and social interaction, as well as providing support in a classroom setting.
In addition, I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs. I am comfortable with feeding, walking, playing with, and supervising dogs of different sizes, and I am confident managing pets alongside childcare responsibilities.
I am reliable, patient, and attentive, and I am able to follow instructions and routines closely. I also have a strong interest in music and experience playing guitar and piano, as well as teaching my younger cousins basic, age-appropriate music skills.
